VoltDeck Privacy Policy

Summary

VoltDeck collects no personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Your saved jobs and calculations live only on your device (and your private iCloud, if you choose to enable sync).

If you read nothing else, that’s the policy. The sections below give the details.

What we don’t collect

VoltDeck does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information
Your location
Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising ID)
Usage analytics or telemetry
Crash reports
Photos, contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, or any other system permission
Browsing history or app usage patterns
Any data you enter into the calculators (inputs and results stay on your device)
Any data you save in jobs (jobs stay on your device, plus your private iCloud if sync is enabled)

VoltDeck has no servers. There is no backend that could collect your data even if we wanted to.

What stays on your device

These items are stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac:

Saved jobs and calculations
Default NEC edition preference
Theme preference (System / Dark / Light)
iCloud sync preference (on / off)
A flag indicating you’ve accepted the in-app disclaimer
In-app purchase entitlements (managed by Apple, not by us)

You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app.

iCloud sync (optional)

If you turn on Settings → iCloud Sync, your saved jobs and calculations sync to your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service. This data:

Goes only to your iCloud, not to us
Is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
Is governed by Apple’s iCloud privacy policy
Can be removed by signing out of iCloud or deleting the app on all your devices

We never see this data. We have no access to your iCloud account.

iCloud sync is off by default. You must explicitly turn it on.

In-app purchases

VoltDeck offers two optional Pro upgrades:

Pro Lifetime — $39.99 one-time
Pro Yearly — $14.99 / year subscription

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information. Apple shares with us only the anonymized fact that a purchase was made (so the app can unlock Pro features).

Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

To restore purchases on a new device or after reinstalling: open the app → Settings → Restore Purchase.

To manage or cancel a subscription: iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → VoltDeck.

Children’s privacy

VoltDeck has a 4+ age rating in the App Store. Because we collect no data from anyone, regardless of age, we are also not collecting data from children. We do not direct VoltDeck specifically at children, and the app is intended as a professional tool for licensed electricians.

Third parties

VoltDeck contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics services, no advertising networks, and no tracking pixels. The app does not communicate with any servers we operate (we operate none). The only network communication the app may perform is:

Apple’s StoreKit (to load product prices and process purchases)
Apple’s CloudKit (only if you enable iCloud Sync)

Both are operated by Apple and governed by Apple’s policies.

Because we collect no personal data:

Right to access — there is nothing for us to give you
Right to deletion — delete the app to delete all local data
Right to opt out of sale of personal information — we never sell or share data; there is nothing to opt out of
Right to data portability — your saved jobs are accessible only to you

Apple’s role

VoltDeck is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect data about your download, in-app purchases, and app usage as described in Apple’s App Store & Privacy policy. That data goes to Apple, not to us.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, the Effective date above will be updated. Changes will only ever expand what we collect with explicit notice and consent — never reduce what we tell you we don’t collect.

The Swift constant in the app and the in-app Settings → About → Privacy link will always point to the current version of this page.
